AASBO, founded in 1968, is a professional association of school business management officials
who are responsible for every financial and operational facet of K-12 public school in Alabama.
Our members include professionals whose areas of responsibility may include finance,
accounting, risk management, transportation, payroll, purchasing, food service, technology and
school facilities.
Our goal is to provide programs and services that will enhance the professionalism of school
business management officials and to improve the performance of the school districts in which
they work. Our training programs and conferences provide professional growth opportunities
as well as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among professionals.
AASBO is one of the state affiliates of the Association of School Business Officials International
(ASBO Intl.) which serves members from the United States, Canada, and other nations across
the world. AASBO is dedicated to being the trusted resource for school business officials in
Alabama by providing professional development, programs, and services to the network of
