Awards Program

The Alabama Association of School Business Officials recognizes members' professional achievements through a variety of awards programs.

Robert L. Morton Award
The Alabama Association of School Business Officials presents an annual award for an outstanding school business official. The award is appropriately named the Robert L. Morton award after the late Robert L. Morton, former assistant superintendent of administration and finance for the Alabama State Department of Education, who contributed so much to the AASBO organization.
AASBO seeks to recognize, through this award, the dedication that individuals bring to their communities, their profession and their school district in everyday life. Identifying school business officials devoted to going above and beyond to do their job and to serve their community. AASBO seeks to recognize individuals who are trying to make a difference in the lives of their peers and subordinates and have set new standards for themselves and their colleagues in their profession.  AASBO wants to celebrate the best their profession of school business management offers through the Robert L. Morton award program.
